Women on the Grid Hub

UKNIAF works to inspire women managers within the Nigerian power sector through the ‘Women on the Grid Hub. Eight trail-blazing women are helping us start this journey.

Engr. Briskilla Sapke

Engineer Sapke is the Distribution Director in the Federal Ministry of Power. She has played an active role in the ongoing power sector reform process and was involved in the procurement and development of the215MW Kaduna power plant.

Barr. Olajumoke Delano

Barrister Delano heads the Regulatory and Government Relations division in the Abuja Electric Distribution Company. She has over 27 years of experience in multi-jurisdictional sectors including legal advice, infrastructure development, and energy regulation.

 

Engineer Agberagba is General Manager for Renewable Energy at Niger Delta Power Holding Company. She has served on the presidential task force and had led various leadership positions in professional organizations such as the World Federation of Engineering Organisations.

 

Commissioner Mahmud heads Consumer Affairs for the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission and is the youngest commissioner. She moved to NERC after working with the Federal Department of Internal Affairs.

 

Folake Soetan is CEO of Ikeja Electric Plc, the largest electricity distribution company in sub-Saharan Africa. She has over 23 years of experience in the aviation, power, oil, & gas sectors and is passionate about driving access to affordable sustainable energy.

 

Wola Joseph-Condotti is the Chief, Legal and Company Secretariat Department at Eko Electricity Distribution Plc. She has also served as the Head of Regulatory Compliance and the Chief Human Resources Officer.

 

Mrs. Muhtar is the Company secretary and Legal Advisor (Chief Counsel) of the Transmission Company of Nigeria. She has extensive experience in negotiating, sourcing, and allocating finds for large-scale infrastructure transmission assets.

Engineer Aliyu is Vice President of Operations at Konexa, which focuses on facilitating funding and structuring transactions for large-scale energy infrastructure. She previously worked on the operationalization of the 100MW solar PV development project in Bauchi. She currently serves as a board member of the Nigeria Climate Innovation Centre.
